About

Our Story

Every cloud no matter how dark, always has a silver lining shining through. That is what store owner, Linda Orff, believes and that is how Silver Linings Boutique came to be.

For Linda, owning her own clothing store was a dream she’d had since college, however life took many turns and she began to wonder whether that dream would ever become a reality.

Then in the spring of 2019 her friend Martha Philpott mentioned that she was retiring from her much loved clothing store Nota Bene Boutique. Linda herself had been a loyal customer of Martha’s for years and had always loved the style of Martha’s store. Not just the clothes, accessories, and gifts (though she could never walk out of there without buying something!) but the overall welcoming atmosphere of the store itself.

Linda had been looking into other places here and there to start her store, but nothing ever felt right. She always said that what she was looking for was a store “like Martha’s”. When the topic of her retirement came up Linda jumped at the chance to live out her dream.

Located in the same location in Malvern where Nota Bene welcomed many for ten years, Linda opened Silver Linings Boutique on August 14, 2019, adding her own touch with a dash of purple to the walls (Linda’s favorite color!).

Linda named her new store Silver Linings Boutique as a reminder that no matter how stormy things get or how many years go by a dream can always become a reality. With the opening of her boutique Linda found her style of happiness and she can’t wait to help you find yours!
